If you are not familiar with Nutella, it’s a brand of chocolate hazelnut spread very popular in Europe and well-known in the U.S. It can be eaten straight out of the jar, smeared on cookies or toast. It is often used in different types of desserts, like cookies, cakes, cupcakes and ice cream.
Here we make a dessert quesadilla with Nutella.

Chocolate Nutella Quesadillas with Strawberries and Bananas Recipe
Ingredients (Taken from the Video)
Makes one full-sized quesadilla
- Nutella or Homemade Nutella Spread
- 4 Strawberries, rinsed and sliced
- 1/2 Banana, sliced
- 2 flour Tortillas
- 2 – 3 teaspoons Butter
Directions (Taken from the Video)
- Spread Nutella over a tortilla about 1/4 inch thick. Don’t spread it all the way to the end of the tortilla as it tends to gush out.
- Layer the strawberry slices over the Nutella.
- Layer banana slices over the strawberries.
- Spread another thin layer of Nutella over the second tortilla.
- Place second tortilla, Nutella-side down, on top of the strawberries and bananas.
- Place 2 teaspoons butter in a pan to melt.
- Lay prepared quesadilla in the middle of the butter.
- Add the rest of the butter to the top of the quesadilla, spreading it around.
- Cook over medium heat until the bottom tortilla is a nice golden brown.
- Flip quesadilla over. Cook until the second side is golden brown.
- Serve up by garnishing with a fresh strawberry or two.
